Wire Erosion

WIRE EROSION

Pemberton Engineering runs two Charmilles Wire EDM Machines.

Electrical Discharge Machining is a widely used process including; die-sinking EDM, wire-cutting EDM and hole drilling EDM. EDM can be used to machine conductive materials such as steel or titanium for example, and of any hardness to an accuracy of up to one-thousandth of a millimetre with no mechanical action. These properties make EDM an essential mould and tool making technology.
